Albatross Golf Resort

Overview: Albatross Golf Resort is a modern championship course west of Prague, designed by English architect Keith Preston. The 18-hole parkland layout combines extensive fairway width with lakes, bunkers and mature planting, allowing players to choose different lines while still demanding precise positioning. The long black-tee course has the scale of a professional venue, but multiple teeing positions make the design more adaptable across a wide range of playing standards.

History: Albatross opened in 2009 and quickly became one of Czechia’s principal tournament venues. The course hosted Ladies European Tour events in 2011 and 2012, then became the home of the Czech Masters from 2014. Those events brought a succession of leading international players to the resort and tested the course’s conditioning, water hazards and strategic layout at the highest level.

Did You Know? The Czech Masters has been played at Albatross since the tournament’s inaugural staging in 2014. The official course material also records appearances by major champions and Ryder Cup players, making the resort one of the clearest links between Czech golf and the modern European professional circuit.
