Amsterdamse Golf Club

Overview: Relocated in 1990 to the expansive Houtrakpolder, the Amsterdamse Golf Club is a sophisticated parkland course that blends strategic water hazards with the open, windswept character of the Dutch polders. Designed by Paul Rolin and later enhanced by Gerard Jol, the layout is defined by its undulating fairways, mature tree plantings, and its constant battle with the North Sea breezes. It provides a challenging par-72 test that requires both power off the tee and a delicate touch around its elevated green complexes, offering a high-caliber competitive environment just west of the city center.

Did You Know? The club is one of the "Grand Old Ladies" of Dutch golf, with a lineage dating back to 1934 at its original site in Duivendrecht. Its move to the polder in 1990 was one of the largest golf infrastructure projects in the Netherlands at the time, transforming industrial-grade polder land into a lush, biodiverse haven that now hosts dozens of bird species.
