Overview: Blairgowrie's Rosemount Course is a tree-lined Perthshire heathland layout, with pine, birch and heather framing broad fairways and shaping the lines into the greens. Its inland setting rewards controlled positioning and thoughtful club selection rather than simply chasing distance.
History: Blairgowrie Golf Club was formed in 1889. Alister MacKenzie inspected the Rosemount course in 1914, the original nine-hole course was extended to 18 holes in 1927, and James Braid added eight holes in 1930. Those stages explain the blend of classic heathland character and later strategic shaping.
Did You Know? Greg Norman won his first European Tour event at Blairgowrie in the 1977 Martini International. The victory was an early landmark in the professional career of the future major champion.
