Overview: Situated on the historic grounds of the Royal Netherlands Air Force base in Gilze-Rijen, Brabantse Golf Club offers a unique and atmospheric parkland experience where aviation history meets the tranquility of the fairway. Designed by the esteemed Paul Rolin, the course winds through mature woodlands and open spaces that served as a backdrop for the region's military past. The layout is defined by its strategic water hazards and a rhythm of play that requires precision through its tree-lined corridors, making it a beloved hidden gem in North Brabant that feels both secluded and deeply connected to the identity of the southern Netherlands.
Did You Know? The course is literally built around a functioning airbase, and it’s not uncommon for golfers to be treated to the sight and sound of military helicopters or aircraft during their rounds. This proximity to the airbase has allowed the club to maintain a large, undeveloped "buffer zone" that has become a vital ecological corridor for local flora and fauna, which thrive in the undisturbed spaces between the fairways and the runways.
