Overview: Club de Golf Alcanada is an 18-hole coastal course on Mallorca's northern shore, where Robert Trent Jones Jr. routed fairways through pine and olive groves above the Bay of Alcúdia. The sea, mountain backdrop, lighthouse, natural contours, and firm approaches supply both scenery and challenge.
History: Hans-Peter Porsche began pursuing the project in 1985, secured permissions in 1998, and commissioned Robert Trent Jones Jr. to fit the course into the Majorcan landscape. Alcanada officially opened on 1 October 2003, with historic farm buildings retained for the clubhouse.
Did You Know? The lighthouse on the Alcanada peninsula is visible from many holes and is a useful reference point. It is part of the coastal land around which the routing was shaped, not simply a decorative resort feature.
