Overview: Located in George, South Africa, The Links at Fancourt is a modern links routing designed by Gary Player. The course was constructed on a former airfield, using extensive earthworks to create deep dunes, hollows, and sod-walled bunkers that mimic traditional Scottish links.
History: Opened in 2000, the course hosted the Presidents Cup in 2003, which famously ended in a historic tie between Tiger Woods and Ernie Els in a sunset playoff.
Did You Know? Gary Player spent months on-site directing the shaping of the land, moving over 700,000 cubic meters of earth to create the rolling dune landscape.
