Overview: Situated in the Flemish Ardennes region of Belgium, the Kasteel (Castle) Course at Golf & Country Club Oudenaarde is an 18-hole parkland course designed by Paul Rolin. The layout is set across a flat, expansive estate featuring wide fairways, mature tree borders, and a massive network of interconnected lakes and streams. The course demands accurate driving to avoid the water hazards and disciplined approach play to reach the large, subtly contoured green complexes.
History: Opened in the early 1980s, the club was developed around the historic Petegem Castle to provide a premier 36-hole sporting facility in East Flanders. Rolin utilized the extensive natural waterways of the Scheldt River valley to create a strategic championship layout that regularly hosts national Belgian amateur and professional events.
Did You Know? The centerpiece of the estate is the spectacular Petegem Castle, a beautiful 19th-century neoclassical chateau that serves as the club's clubhouse. Players enjoy magnificent views of the castle and its surrounding moats as they navigate the closing holes of the Kasteel Course.
