Overview: Groningse Golfclub Duurswold is a modern nine-hole course located near the Schildmeer in Steendam. Designed by architect Michiel van der Vaart of Jol Golfdesign, the routing incorporates significant elevation shifts, water hazards, and large green complexes. When played as a full 18-hole round, the course presents a substantial challenge with its open landscape and strong wind exposure in the northern region of the Netherlands.
Did You Know? The club is dedicated to environmental sustainability and has been GEO-certified since 2018. It features an energy-neutral clubhuis opened in 2024 and utilizes robotic mowers guided by GPS to maintain the fairways and rough.
