Overview: Golfclub Toxandria is one of the true old souls of Dutch golf, tucked into the sandy woodlands of Brabant. It offers a wonderfully calm and classic walk where subtlety matters more than power. The fairways flow over naturally undulating ground, heather and pines frame the holes, and the atmosphere is serene rather than showy. It feels like a club that has grown into its landscape over generations.
History: The club was founded on July 5, 1928, with the first nine holes opening on September 14, 1929. The original layout is linked to Harry S. Colt’s office, and the course was expanded to 18 holes in the 1930s. In 1994, holes five and six were added by J.F. Dudok van Heel during a renovation.
Did You Know? Toxandria is recognized as the oldest golf club in Brabant and Limburg provinces. The original nine-hole layout was designed under Harry S. Colt’s supervision before expanding to eighteen holes later. This historic status places it among the earliest established courses in the southern Netherlands region.
