Overview: The A-loop, known as the 'Van Hengel' nine, is the historical heart of Kennemer. It takes you right into the most dramatic dune terrain, where every tee shot feels like a journey into the wild. The routing is spectacular, weaving through deep hollows and over sandy ridges. It’s pure, rugged links golf that requires both imagination and a steady nerve. If you only have time for nine, this is the one that will stay with you forever.
Did You Know? This loop is named after Steven van Hengel, a legendary figure in Dutch golf who was the club’s secretary and a world-renowned expert on the history of the game. He practically lived in these dunes!
