Did You Know? The course is situated on land that was used during the construction of the nearby Europoort, one of the largest harbor systems in the world. This industrial heritage has given the course an unusually firm and sandy soil base for a polder layout, allowing it to maintain the fast, rolling conditions required for the links-style game that its windswept location encourages.
