Its setting near the Eden Estuary gives the routing a distinct place within the Links portfolio.
History: The Eden opened in 1914 and was designed by Harry Colt. It was added to the St Andrews Links as demand grew for another course, and its routing remains one of the clearest examples of Colt's work at the home of golf.
Did You Know? The 17th hole follows the line of an old railway. That alignment is a reminder that the Eden Course occupies a working landscape shaped by more than golf alone.
